PADDLEBOARD LESSONS

Our lessons are based around student led learning, putting your needs first, and tailoring the content to your needs.

Not only will we give you the skills you need to safely become competent, we will put the skills into an environmental context to develop an appropriate technique for you.  Sessions usually finish with a few games!

Typically we will cover the following skills

• Forward paddling
• Turning and steering
• Controlling to board from one side
• standing up
• Falling off safely
• Rescues
• Towing

We will also put the above skills on to a real river or windy lake environment and help develop your technique

IMPROVERS LESSONS

If you have already mastered the basics, but want to improve your technique to go into harder environments, go faster, or to look after others we can do that for you.  After watching you we will give you some exploration tasks for you to gain a better understanding of how your performance makes the board move, and some ideas around improving.  We will also look at leadership strategies and rescues.

WHAT WE PROVIDE

Wetsuit, Buoyancy aid, SUP, Paddle - you may also bring your own

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

Swim wear, old trainers or wetsuit shoes, towel, any medications.

COSTS

£30 Adults, £20 under 18s 1:1 £45

Currently we can only take under 18s unaccompanied on the canal.  At all other times parents or legal guardians need to be taking part.  For safeguarding reasons, we don't offer 1:1 to under 18s.
