Have you ever wanted to enjoy the flowing ride of white water rapids? On this course we will not only teach you the skills needed to paddle white water, but also some safety skills and most importantly the confident to progress further!
We will teach you:
- How to read rapids and find the best line
- Rapid features
- Tactics for running rapids
- Use of eddies and how to get in and out of them
- Ferry Gliding
- Safely swimming in rapids
- Rescue strategies.
This is usually run as a one day course with a maximum ratio of 1:4.
If you have a group and wish to have a longer course we can do this to suit your needs. We can also do it in a number of locations across Yorkshire or The Lake District. For longer trips we can offer locations in North Wales or Scotland too!
