Canoe Adventures and Courses 2024

  We are pleased to announce several canoe skills courses for 2024.  As a leading provider in canoeing holidays, adventures and courses, we are well positioned to give you the very best training.

All these courses will be delivered by Chucky Davison, a coach and guide for 28 years, he can bring a wealth of experience, practice and good fun to the courses.

All what is advertised here is an outline of what could take place on a course, with the final plan tailored to the group.

2-4th February White Water Canoe Skills South Lakes/Yorkshire

Day one we will look at some traditional skills such as lining, tracking and poling.  We will give you the tools to set up for success.  We will finish the day with some practical rescue scenarios.

This will be at Devils Bridge Kirkby Lonsdale.

Day 2 we will paddle a grade 2 section of river to underpin the fundamentals of skills acquisition,and give some foundations of white water skills

Day 3.  We will head out on another river to challenge your skill set to a new environment.

The likely rivers for this trip include the Lower Lune, Wharfe, and Eden.

You are welcome to attend any days you wish.

10-11 February Paddlesport Touring Leader Training

This multi discipline leadership award allows you to lead any craft on open water up to 500 metres from shore and Force 4 wind.  You will be able to lead on Grade 1(2) rivers.  Once you have completed this training course we can set you on the road to your assessment.  This is a great course to not only develop your leadership, but also a chance to get out in good conditions, challenge yourself and look at the decision making process we make as paddlers.

£180pp based in the Lake District.

15th March - Open Water Canoe Skills.

With a force 3-4 wind booked, what more could you ask for!!

We will look at how to paddle up, across and down wind, some rough condition safety measures and of course sailing!!

For anyone that wants it, we will have an open water rescue session too

4th–8th April Canoe the River Spey

30th September - 4th October.

Join us for 5 days of adventure on the mighty River Spey. 

We will start at Loch Insh where we will do a warm up paddle before heading off down the river.

Take on rapids such as the Washing Machine and Knockando.  Each night we will camp wild and cook all your meals.c  j 

The price includes all equipment except your personal clothing and a sleeping bag.

£500.  Discounts are available for paddlers with their own equipment. 

11-12 April White Water   Canoe Leader Training

Based on the River Spey we will explore the leadership skills needed to be a successful leader.From Personal skills, decision making and leadership strategies, we will give you a foundation to buikd upon to make you a confident and successful leader. £180

West Coast of Scotland

8-12 June

17-21 September.

This five day canoe trip is very special and takes you into the wilderness.  We will take you to some of the most beautiful places to paddle including Arasaig, Loch Sheil, River Sheil and Loch Moidart.  Camping on golden sands and loch shores, we know sone great spots to take you into the wilderness.

Great Glen Canoe Trail

Canoe 100km form Fort William to Inverness.  The trip takes 5 days, and you will get to paddle Loch Lochy, Oich and Ness.  Discover the Well of the Seven Heads, Explore Fort Augustus and Celebrate and the Dores Inn.  An unmissable canoe adventure!  £565

All our trips are non residential, except the Spey, Great Glen and West Coast of Scotland, where we are wild camping

All trips except the Spey, Great Glen and West Coast of Scotland , are excluding equipment.  We are able to hire a canoe for £30 per day or £50 per weekend.
